
Dendairy “Win A Cow” Promotion
Justin Case Advisory designed and operated this WhatsApp Business consumer promotion on behalf of Dendairy (Private) Limited, one of Zimbabwe's largest dairy producers.
The brief
Dendairy wanted to drive customer engagement around its product range through a consumer promotion that rewarded purchases with a chance to win a cow. The campaign needed a customer entry mechanic that was simple to participate in, fraud-resistant, operationally manageable at scale, and compliant with Meta's WhatsApp Business and Commerce policies.
What we built
Justin Case Advisory designed and operated a WhatsApp Business chatbot flow that handled the full entry experience, from customer welcome through entry confirmation. Each Dendairy promotional card carried a unique pre-printed entry number. Customers messaged the WhatsApp number, entered their code, and the system validated it against a controlled list. Three distinct paths handled every outcome:
Valid, unused codes
Prompted the customer for their full name and location, then confirmed and recorded the entry.
Invalid codes
Returned clear guidance to re-check the entry number, with Dendairy's marketing email and mobile number as a support fallback.
Already-used codes
Returned a similar guidance message with the same support pathway, preventing duplicate entries.
The flow language was deliberately measured. Rather than gambling-style “Win!” excitement, the messaging framed the promotion as a “Customer Rewards Programme” with reference to official programme terms, reducing policy review risk and presenting the brand professionally.
Operational role
Justin Case Advisory acted as the Meta Tech Provider for the engagement. We operated the WhatsApp Business number on Dendairy's behalf for the duration of the campaign, managed the chatbot flow, handled the entry database, and provided ongoing operational support throughout the promotion period.
Why this mechanic worked
The pre-printed entry-card approach proved more efficient than receipt-based mechanics. Customers experienced lower friction (entering a code is faster than photographing a receipt), Dendairy avoided the cost of receipt validation, and the flow was simple enough to run reliably at scale.
